There are a million reasons why one chooses a career path; I had only one, to help people live a more fulfilled, active life through therapeutic touch. Having dealt with numerous sport related injuries myself, and seeing how I was impacted by these experiences, I was inspired to pursue massage therapy not only as a career, but to make it part of a lifestyle to enhance the overall wellness of the lives others and my own.
I have been practicing for over fifteen years and my fascination with body continues to inspire me. I have focused on continuing my education in areas such as: craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, pregnancy massage, and sports injury treatment. Whether it’s working with clients who suffer from every day symptoms because of postural strains or high level professional athletes competing in the NHL or training daily for Olympic competition, I apply the same principles but tailor the treatment to meet your individual needs. As part of my goal to enhance the overall wellness of the people I work with, I have also helped improve the quality of life for individuals coping with chronic diseases like MS, Parkinson’s, and arthritis.
I lead a healthy lifestyle that keeps me energized and eager to take on each day, by incorporating massage therapy into my own active lifestyle that includes yoga, Pilates, regular strength and endurance training, team sports, enjoying the outdoors, being a Mom, a balanced diet, and work on maintaining a positive attitude. I participate as a client, (not only as a therapist), with the help from other modalities to maintain wellness.
I’m inspired to practice at Two Rivers Health because we’ve created an environment that is filled with comfort and warmth, and I have the support of like-minded practitioners and a wonderful community. I will be looking forward to welcoming you to my practice at Two Rivers and working together in the near future!
